DESAER - DESENVOLVIMENTO AERONÁUTICO LTDA, is a Brazilian company, currently incubated at INCUBAERO, Business Incubator and Projects of Technological Base of São José dos Campos, created by the Casimiro Montenegro Filho Foundation, whose objective is to do the development of the aerospace sector, with the support of Department of Aerospace Science and Technology - DCTA and Technological Institute of Aeronautics - ITA.
The light transport aircraft designated ATL-100 is being developed under the EASA Part 23 certification basis.
The concept is of a non-pressurized military transport aircraft, considered to be multi-function, i.e., is being designed to operate in different scenarios (passenger transportation, cargo and military transportation) and will be able operated by a single pilot, in all three versions.
It will be able to transport up to 12 paratroopers, as well as a jump-master, a pathfinder and a load-master.
Its foreseen to the ATL-100 basic configuration:
- A rear ramp;
- Maximum range of 1580 km, or 853 nm (with maximum payload);
- Operation on a contaminated short runway (2,000 feet) in accordance with STOL;
- Low DOC and DMC, i.e., low operating and maintenance costs;
- Simple Systems Architecture.
